  1. They never said he tested negative, only that he is not infectious by the standard. It doesn't mean he can't infect someone and saying no evidence of the virus replicating just means the latest test didn't indicate more virus than the previous test. Obviously if your body is fighting the virus to get conclusive evidence of replication would be extremely difficult unless the patient is going backwards and the body is killing the virus at a lower rate than the replication.

  2. It's not a lie and listen to the wording carefully. Basically it's reasonable to assume he tested positive however the viral load indicates that he is a low risk (not no risk) of spreading the virus. Saying the virus isn't replicating is a wild out there claim, maybe true , maybe not and maybe the tests are picking up dead virus only. I think we can be certain he tested positive otherwise they would just say directly he tested negative no need for all the other crappy wording . Just watched the end of the clip and they got a doctor biased towards Trump. CNN should do their homework and find a doctor not at all associated with Trump because they might as happened here put a nice spin on things. So now the US has real bonified "spin doctors". Quite amusing from Australia a very safe distance away, but it would be unsettling if I was a US citizen because if there is a direct attempt to mislead on this , probability says it's a character trait and a normal course of behaviour so will do it on any issue.
