You could reverse those numbers and it would be Fox, what's your point everyone knows this media outlet is left leaning and the Republican Party is a mess meaning plenty to talk about them.

@commonsense9848 of course it's not news, Fareed is editorial, just like Tucker on Fox. It's not intended to be news, some people however don't seem to know what is editorial and what is news.

@commonsense9848 I made a neutral comment and to answer your question very directly just taking one issue, healthcare, the US spends more on public healthcare than Australia yet it would appear it's not universal and it would also appear to bring substandard overall outcomes with life expectancy 5 years less approximately. This is not the only key measure issue where the US performs not so well. Both your major political parties don't get it in general terms, maybe some individuals do.

@commonsense9848 A nuclear armed country with 1.3 million personnel can't control a 2,000 mile border? If you put every single military person on that border at one time, ( this is not counting your ICE and ATF etc. who can carry out the exact same task) they would be spaced about 3 yards apart. However it's my understanding that most "undocumented" citizens ( in reality they are citizens) enter legally but overstay whatever permit or visa they might have. Direct answer to your question Australia has a different border policy to the US , I would suggest that both major US parties don't get that either and seems that you at least agree with me on that. The 3% of the population being in that category makes little difference to overall health outcomes, it certainly can't explain a 5 year difference in life expectancy. The extra spending is far greater than 3% anyway. The other issues you mentioned well no we don't have the tail wagging the dog, the government runs the show not the beneficiaries of bad government policy.

It's not that clear cut as you put it. Fair enough on the election issue but other things are much more subtle.
