  1. It's called question time and the US doesn't have it. Australia is very similar. The US has a completely different government model, all your secretaries which we call ministers are unelected bureaucrats chosen by the president. The ministers are the people are asked the questions by both their own side and the opposition including to the Prime Minister. I do think that ministers should come from elected officials, the US system in a way is like an absolute monarchy but you vote for the monarch who then chooses whoever he or she wants to actually be the executive government and it leads to lack of accountability and not doing their job properly because the one that hired them can fire them so can apply pressure.
