I heard some analysis that we as in the coalition members didn't train their armed forces, we trained soldiers but remained as commanders , you can't have an army without commanders, so when the commanders (foreigner) left there was no trained commanders plus they lost logistics control on top of that.

  2. So far actually nothing too bad has occurred. If and it's a big if the Taliban keeps their word it has actually improved things, girls can go to school and university now. Intelligence by the US clearly failed and US presidents aren't capable of fixing that problem which is actually the real problem. I think it's arrogance and the new superpower China exhibits some of those same arrogant behaviours already, they will probably do a little better than US neo-colonialism but it won't be plain sailing. Some significant evidence based on the Taliban rhetoric that they are following China's advice, words to the effect "the Taliban government will have all members of society in it and the Taliban will have meaningful consultation" paraphrased of course but that's the identical rhetoric that the CPC uses with all the unions other parties who all support the CPC being leaders. Whether the plan occurs we just have to wait and see and see if the Taliban turns on China in the short term to medium term.
