Your comment is remarkably similar to Australian politicians about us opening up and "living with covid" , "we need to push through and it will be hard and deaths are going to happen" paraphrased. The number 1 thing is that the community or country is united, even to this day I believe that Australia and Sweden although very different responses and somewhat different circumstances the vast majority support our country's response, the US unfortunately it's probably still below 50% despite a significant government change.

@lspthrattan The last third or so of your comment suggests you completely understand what I have said. Maybe to add more context even though you have no care in looking at others to see if better or worse. We have got vaccinated to 90% + of 16 years and over, you need to achieve this first task and then although at a completely different starting point you can open up genuinely in a consistent but painful manner, the US as a whole doesn't actually have any plan, some governor's/legislatures doing one thing and others the exact opposite. It's nothing about being ghoulish, we couldn't have kept travel quarantine and restrictions forever and also fully aware people will die once these measures cease or reduce in a dramatic way. There needs to be a balanced approach which is actually different for every country and or jurisdiction.

@lspthrattan The situation in the US is unfortunately you are fighting each other and not enough vaccinated and the highest per capita deaths from covid 19 of any wealthy country. Tell me what I got wrong in that short statement.
