  2.  @davidmurphy563  I have just been looking at wealth by country and came across a list done by credit Suisse that shows mean and median wealth by adult on a Wikipedia page. The US has the highest difference between the two numbers at 6.5 times and 3rd for mean wealth and 22nd for median wealth of adult population. Thailand was close second which surprised me a little. This put some perspective of why the number of Americans are angry, it's basically the wealth gap, the shrinking middle class should now be referred to as what middle class in the US context. I know it's off topic you talking about but it is related indirectly to the politics in your country. Australia was number 2 for median wealth and number 4 for mean wealth so very different. That's I guess partly why people outside of the US including myself find it hard to understand because our average very close to each other. My dad used to say there are lies damn lies and statistics and it's true, if you miss a crucial factor it can severely skew ones thinking.
