@annettezaleski Actually there are a few other nations with large numbers of conspiracy theorists similar to the US being Brazil , Russia, Indonesia and probably some smaller nations that don't make international news so much. I am a bit disappointed in my Indonesian neighbors , that surprised me a bit , however some of the misinformation seems to come from a similar source, some Mosques in Indonesia just like some Churches in the US.

Nah, if someone wanted to attack the US with a bioweapon they would do it now, all you need to do is infect half a dozen Florida Republicans and no need for any sophisticated delivery systems in multiple states. The delivery device is perfect and it would keep spreading through all the US because they would keep denying it's existence and we know the CDC will probably take a month or so to even work out a test, just remember history, end of February 2020 total accumulative covid 19 tests in US 500, South Korea 100,000 , Australia 10,000. I wouldn't bother attacking Australia or South Korea they will react too quickly.

Reading the comments in this thread it seems there is a major shortage of mirrors in the US, maybe China could export some to you. Both your political parties are making things worse and the overarching policies are common to both parties , not a single lockdown and not a single day of compulsory quarantine at any border or even when sick. Don't blame Murdoch media, my state Queensland Australia only has Murdoch press . You tend to find Murdoch media is mostly a follower not a leader, they give people what they want, so Fox News or Sky News Australia are only preaching to the converted. Queensland, 7 covid 19 deaths for a population of 5 million, it can't be the media's fault otherwise I have to say our Murdoch print media played a part, but more likely they represent the readers.

@dqmachine2624 The Australian border will remain largely closed at least until next year, it's looking like it will be about January before we can all be vaccinated, some Moderna coming soon to add to supply of Pfizer and Astrazeneca we using currently. A big factor in how we open up could be whether or not New South Wales gains control of it's outbreak which after each passing day is looking less likely although they have dramatically stepped up lockdown enforcement activities so maybe they can surprise, over 400 cases yesterday. If NSW regains control border will be slower to open, our public hasn't been told yet that even with vaccines probably 2 to 5,000 will die if the border is opened. China is discussing the same thing and they having problems with Delta variant also. If you have a true compassionate reason as in visiting sick relative or something you could apply for that but no guarantee they would say yes. Maybe I start to become paranoid but if the next variant to come along evades vaccines and more deadly we all back to square one or maybe worse. Best of luck and take care.
