  3. There is a silver lining which you just alluded to. This complete failure in containment, not only in the US but many countries will see new medical research and some of could never be done with low case numbers. Hopefully there is a somewhat effective vaccine but the number of mutations happening all the time it might not be highly effective.

  4. While Ebola is much less deadly due to it being much easier to contain, I find the information you provided interesting. The US failed like Europe in the beginning, but now looking like they will come out better in the end just like Canada which got off to a bad start. I am from Australia and we had great start, but now one state having problems. It's so easy to fail , in a month one undetected case can turn into thousands.

  6. He's saving face like a Chinese Communist. Chinese are known for their stubborn behaviour and to never admit fault under any circumstances. Interestingly Xi in the end apologized for the treatment of the whistle blowing doctor and wore a mask back in February I think it was. On this issue despite the initial failures which the US shared they don't look quite so bad now. If China could have stopped it why couldn't the US ? Is China that superior? This is what must be believed to suggest they could have stopped but the US couldn't.
