I am from Queensland Australia and I am still coming to terms with the concept that people after being tested in some US jurisdictions according to reporters are not required to isolate until results come back. If in some cases as reported it's a week and you can run around Willy nilly , you could very well be positive at the time your negative result comes back. Then because you are really not feeling good you head to the test centre again but this time reinfecting others as you wait for the result.

@Jakob_DK I didn't make myself clear. I was describing the situation in the US in some areas according to reports when talking about testing delays. I'll edit my comment.

Fox did it before if my memory is correct. The virus truly doesn't care which incompetent government is in charge, it just does virusy things like jump from person to person through small droplets or contact with surfaces followed by touching mouth , nose or eyes.

Down would be less than 5,000 cases per day, this is come off a new peak of about 70,000 per day. Even on a per capita basis the US is running second I think behind Brazil.

Without effective controls or an effective vaccine the second number isn't so unlikely. Think 2 years ahead.

For reference Florida is about 3.5 times the population of Victoria Australia.

@crystalgiddens7276 I am unsure what point you are making to me. I don't like those impolite people calling you "Karen" that's racist and possibly sexist in my opinion. What do you think can a black or Asian lady be called "a Karen"?
