@1cyanideghost yes phenomenon is the right word , just like they have worked out mirages were most likely involved in the titanic disaster, many of these unidentified phenomenon could be optical illusions no different to a mirage on a hot road.

It's just a recognition that optical illusions exist and are real, just like on a hot road. Another thing I am wondering is what altitude is the camera, above a certain height at a given time and place the temperature is below 0 celsius, since these images seem to be taken at altitude, some might be as simple as an ice crystal forming or landing on the lense or cover of the camera and all these people saying look that proves aliens are flying around, American will believe anything.
