It wasn't, must have one rule for all otherwise as we have seen in the US anyone can do anything and that caused about 500,000 deaths and counting, better described as too little too late.

SharkTank which "thing" are you referring to? I will just expand my point maybe that will answer you. Allowing riots by both left and right wing mobs in the US meant it was impossible to ever contain the virus and making sure the well off have complete freedom of movement around the world certainly didn't help. The UK variant is now killing thousands in most of Europe plus US, should have never happened. I am Australian so a few Authoritarian actions in the beginning for most states, then that was it pretty much , people willing to comply, the one state that wasn't Authoritarian at all ended up with the most issues and deaths but eventually got things under control with much more force than originally required. The bushfire analogy is a good one, the moment a decision is made to just let it burn for a while it's out of control and requires double the measures to get results. Hard lockdown Authoritarian actions in the beginning plus border restrictions on all made all the difference and broadly supported.

@emanueljames7801 I am unaware of what you say, your claim is there are no covid 19 restrictions because the police can't do anything, 100,000 had to die because of that, very unfortunate.

Because it involves a policeman, however it's unfair to tarnish the whole police force, just like in the US even more unfair riots in other cities with completely different unassociated police.

@chriskennedy1557 Ok so you talking about before they found the likely perpetrator. Without going into that particular case because I have no knowledge other than this video clip and your comment. It would have to be because the person was and extremely reliable person and they didn't reach their destination, the police made the judgement that something very likely occurred and they were correct, if for arguments sake it's a teenager between 14 and 17 , most likely ran away or something , not high attention because like you say it's common, same if any person has a history of drug use or petty crime, most likely they have just gone somewhere without telling anyone so low priority. Police won't always get it right they just do the best they can but unfortunately based on what you say they got this one right and seem to have found the offender which was one of them. There is no conspiracy , just police doing their job ( not the bad one of course ). Children below a certain age get extremely high priority too.

People have to get out of their extreme bias , how is police investigate crime , find out it's allegedly one of their own , then arrest that person a cover up, explain it to me maybe I am stupid but doesn't seem like a cover up to me, in fact the opposite.

Nothing to do with police brutality, just one copper it looks like committed a murder, not some widespread issue, murderers come in all walks of life unfortunately. Should people protest against butchers because some butcher killed someone, it actually makes the same amount of sense.

@rinan.13 If one blames every police person for the actions of one then they are a completely intolerant person of prejudice, most people who hold one prejudice will hold others. The virus really doesn't care what reason someone is gathering in a group for, maybe things could be handled better but in the end you want that group gone , whatever the groups cause might be. People in various jurisdiction around the world were not permitted to funerals due to various restrictions and that's close relatives, why do these people need special treatment?

The US has 5 times the homicide rate of the UK and in both cases borders open and disregard for life has killed about 0.2% of the population, of course this gathering should not have occured, killing another person in the name of Freedom is also wrong.
