Another Aussie, I'll put my 2 cents worth, I think both candidates and political parties in the US are basically mad and disfunctional. The only thing to really consider is who might do more damage than the other. Best of luck US citizens.

@CuriousDiscourse Without other measures the so called border closures didn't prevent any deaths. You don't get to have one of the worst case loads and deaths in the world and claim that's an excellent job. Not a single state managed to keep the virus out or to very low numbers.

@CuriousDiscourse the US has the same state federal relationship as Australia. Yes you can say every governor inside the US mainland did poorly also. Initial failures were at the federal level though with a completely inept CDC great at theories ( Australia listened to them and WHO primarily I believe) and completely useless at implementation. Australia detected 15 cases by February 20 the same as the US. There were no serious quarantine measures at any border state or federal other than voluntary measures by people entering. An absolute failure all in all especially the smaller states who had a lot more time than California and the NE states near New York.
