@aishabintabubakr4944 Howard Springs is in the Northern Territory, what's it got to do with Victoria? Yes vast majority of Australians did support our previous covid 0 policy regardless of political party.

With such low case numbers for now they would genomic test them all.

@danielkelly5038 They won't tell you here in Australia either now that our cases are through the roof but previously under covid 0 they genomic tested every case, not sure if patients would ever find out but my guess is they might because I am thinking the doctors would be told and then tell the patients. Doctors need to be told to collect the statistical data regarding variants. When cases are really high they just use statistical averages I guess. The US CDC is publishing data about Omicron severity and there's no other way they could do it.

@congener496 No both parties have the same approach. They also spend a lot on getting public opinion so they can roll out policies effectively. Have to remember we are a federation and just like the US different states are at different points on the political spectrum, I am in Queensland and generally we fairly conservative compared to say Victoria which is full of lefties and this is regardless of which political party.
