If you are American this is a cultural issue, if you are old enough and remember the term "going postal" you would realise that after this point in time unfortunately it was an acceptable way to commit suicide, even have another more recent term for that " suicide by cop" . These people are the equivalent of a suicide bomber but tend to have wide ranging ideology. The US has always been violent and has a homicide rate of about 5 times that of comparable wealthy countries. So unfortunately for the moment and your entire history in one way or another that is who you are.
