@jerrymarasco8878 you're bloody amazing, your country has conscription or the draft in the constitution, so you can legally be sent to die on a battlefield. You are being requested by some Americans to not be a bloody idiot and try not to infect them and crying about your loss of freedom. What a sook.

JM Sabatino Australian states don't have even 10s of cases a day, maybe the person commenting is a fellow Australian. The five months reference I am guessing is Western Australia and relates to community transmission because they get imported cases of course.

@jerrymarasco8878 You are daring a government to require you to wear a mask in public. Ok fair enough what is you threat? Is it to vote for an alternative government next time, to disobey the direction, or something else. Please explain, I am curious what your threat is.

Just protect yourself and family, if you didn't have a comprehensive lockdown 'til now it's fair to say it's not going to happen and like it or not the Democrats are only marginally better, masks only slow spread and are not a panacea. I wish you the best of luck from Australia that decided on a different course.

At the end of September the excess deaths was 300,000 for the US year to date, so one can assume that a significant proportion. The secondary deaths are significant also due to poor public policy meaning ongoing lockdowns which causes mental illness and other possible causes of deaths and reduced healthcare. In Australia there was a spike in deaths from the lockdown which mostly seemed to be heart failure and diabetes as reported by ABS ( Australian Bureau of Statistics). The data released is only first 6 months so not sure how bad the Victorian situation may have been from a second hard lockdown.

@Pat Ho you're right it means some Trump supporters accept Trump seems to be a goner until the supposed evidence of tens of thousands of cases of voter fraud is proven. I am wondering how many affidavit actually have lies in them. There will certainly be some.
