It's pretty sad you say that and seems true , for the most part US military overseas are safer than civilian back in your home country.

@Uhtredrag1080 Well actually Maine with a population of 1.4 million approximately had 22 homicide deaths which gives a rate of about 1.5 per 100,000 so about 50% more dangerous than the rest of the wealthy world excluding Canada which is a bit worse than Maine. Problem is your looking at it from the inside and it seems good to you in Maine which was your example.

Guns might not be the underlying cause however a violent population like the US with guns becomes even more violent.

Makes no difference if nobody polices guns crossing the border, just like covid 19. It's clear everyone being able to carry a gun makes no difference like in Colorado.

@ESCOEXCLUSIVE There has been 2 mass shootings in the news this year in Colorado and in one of the cases the person purchased the weapon a day or two earlier. Anyone just about can go and buy a gun in 10 minutes walk out of the shop armed and dangerous. So don't know what you mean not then.

@isaaccrabtree3996 catch 22 there, if you improved mental health people wouldn't see the need to cling onto their semi automatic weapons that they want to keep because they are paranoid. No other wealthy country in the world has this issue.
