Veterans when they were in the military and vaccines available were all required to be vaccinated, so they certainly weren't fighting against vaccines.

I don't see 20 million protestors in Canada, the protestors are a small minority.

@christinewelford1842 So you don't believe a country has a right to decide who enters or in other words you want an open border, you would be replaced by lower cost workers. Yes the US requirements (and almost every country in the world) is need to be vaccinated if you are a foreigner to enter. I don't understand how you see it as both sides.

@anthonyd4341 Yep it's called the "freedom to infect". Truth is on the US side that actually rang true because there was only ever voluntary quarantine or in other words no quarantine. The US now has the highest per Capita deaths from covid 19 of any wealthy country in the world.

@NashiHeartSoulSpirit technically it appears you only need 4 trucks to shut down 25% of trade between US and Canada. Numbers have nothing to do with it. Just like if someone is in the control room of a major power station, only takes one person to shut it down and would cause blackouts. Yes there's a thousand or so truckers who aren't at all aligned with the majority of truckers represented by the main union who says they don't support these actions. Yes there's idiots all over the world , they even protest against restrictions that don't exist sometimes. Rent a crowd basically, they would protest against anything because they enjoy doing that.

@christinewelford1842 I hope you stay cancer and Covid free. Unfortunately even with high vaccination rates the virus still spreads but the higher risk in your case is if in your area unvaccinated rate is high you might not receive the best care in hospital if you caught it and you are susceptible. In Australia it hasn't become political other than a few snipes here and there but nothing on the big issues like vaccines and general restrictions. Without saying it our current position is we are are opening up we can't protect those who won't protect themselves, unfortunately just like everywhere else the unvaccinated dying disproportionately in Australia but we have got to 90% at least of 16+ double dosed, about the same as Canada actually but Canada isn't handling the opening up very well as we can see. It's opposite season though so I don't know what will happen in our winter in the more southern cities. Best of luck to you and take care.

Well they're not allowed to obstruct others and hold a country hostage. They can peacefully occupy a park or something and leave everyone else alone.

@samuelminick4594 Usually nurses can't go on strike, at least of they work in a public system that's the case. We are not talking about striking , if a pilot blocked a runway yep they'd be in prison pretty quick I expect. Shut down a large international airport and the authorities won't have much patience.

@samuelminick4594 Of course it's illegal, you can't just shut down ports roads or railways. Nowhere on the planet allows such actions which are normally part of war actions. One could literally gain control of a country with 1,000 people with the anarchy you speak of, shut down power, transport and communication only takes a handful of people.

@samuelminick4594 Yes you are talking about civil war basically and you seem to think any 1,000 people can just seize power if they want.
