Unfortunately the theories about immunity weren't correct, the age thing is correct and the second biggest indicator not mentioned is the overall obesity rate in India is low , however Dehli is a very fat city and that's why it was so devastating there. The other thing is even if it isn't particularly apparent the disease will spread at a slower rate through a poorer population in general terms because they don't go around partying all the time and tend to go to work and home that's it.
