  1. The guy is nuts. He says trade deficits cause government debt. They are completely unrelated. Also and this has already occurred, Canadians are boycotting US products and holidays. The US can't boycott Canada as much, are Americans going to boycott gasoline and Canadian lumber, well of course not. Starting a trade war you are guaranteed to lose is just crazy.
