  1. I disagree with David. For me it's hard to have empathy with someone who wished this upon others. The US immigration system is a mess, Trump is correct about that. However Trump's actions by ignoring the laws in place just make the situation worse. Even Trump's position that removing birth right citizenship is a good one , however instead of arranging a referendum on the issue he just ignores the law. It's quite possible if argued properly ending birth right citizenship might pass a referendum because it caused a lot of deaths pain and suffering because pregnant women will sometimes try to cross the border to get eventual citizenship or alternatively women will try to get pregnant while in the US. It's a pull factor that causes problems.

  2. @chrisriviello6011  I am Australian, we have a secure border and enforce immigration regulations. The US hasn't done so for about 40 years. As I stated Trump is correct it's a mess but only intends to increase the mess by ignoring the laws already on the books instead of changing the laws and working with other countries. How does creating a mess without solving the systemic problems going to achieve anything? Trump hasn't even suggested toughening up visa rules noting many illegal immigrants enter legally.
