One number that should be completely ignored is the stock market number. The valuation of stocks doesn't always represent the actual intrinsic value of those stocks. Case in point which has a ridiculous valuation is Tesla, as that is the case there's nothing stopping it becoming a more ridiculous valuation in a years time. Tesla price could also crash down to it's intrinsic valuation in that time also. Therefore the price of the stock has nothing to do with a US president, much in the same way the US can't control the international price of oil, it can as a large producer only have small effects on the market but much less than OPEC which is a union of many large producers and one non exporter of Indonesia being a hangover from different times.
