  1. They don't care about people listening to ATC, they just care about people listening to the police, as many criminals used scanners to avoid the police. However, the judge saying things like, "I don't believe you, you look shifty." isn't a great look.

  3. This was all back in the late 1980s, early 1990s. They don't do this any more.
