America has an insane relationship with guns. We treat them as totems, religious amulets of strength, when in reality it's more likely to harm the owner or their family than any "bad guy".

@joeypeeps22 Learn to read. He says "my country", indicating he's NOT in the US. And he's right, guns are the problem. They remove thinking and substitute aggression instead.

@joconnell8145 Your statement is ridiculous, mine is correct. If you look up the statistics for gun deaths and injuries in America they are predominantly for the owner and those close to them. Sorry if reality doesn't conform with your religion...

@SpaceyGracie_ The race is a logistics nightmare for the workers in LV, and I agree it's not anything close to "equitable" for the vast majority in the area. I'm an F1 fan, and even so I hope they stop the event, at least as they currently run it. But the shooting was stupidity on both sides of the act and more what I would call "gun psychosis" over "car culture".

There's been cases of people going to the wrong house door, knocking, and being shot. Of turning around in a driveway and being shot. Of being the "wrong color" while walking and being shot. This sick society and its gun cult invites "shoot first" reactions, and the carnage will continue.
