@gnolan4281 You are so funny. Russia does not just sell oil to Europe right? India is buying at 10x their normal rate. China can step up at any time. And that 90% cut is the target at year end. You need to figure out why Russia economy is not collapsing like West expected and is actually Growing. But the Inflation at West is going over the roof. Russia could easily last 10-20 years in this wars. Let us see whether West can last that long and pump up Ukraine at around $100 billion a year.

@biscaynediver Where do you get that idea? Iran did well for decade without West. Without the West, Russia will take some hit, but the 20-30% rise of price can offset that easily. You do know Russia GDP was actually growing after the most serious sanction on Russia right? Do you understand how did that happen?

@gnolan4281 Not everyone can understand the Grand strategy. No sanction lasts hundred years, but conquered land do. If Russia could take the Novo-Russia, all the industrial land of Ukraine rich with coal, iron and newly discover Natural Gas, it definitely worth any sanction. With time Russia could slowly take Karvis and then Kiev. Ukraine economy is in free fall. West could not support Ukraine for 10-20 years. But Russia can last forever for this world. Actually if you read Russia history, that is exactly how they built the empire, decades of war to outlast its opponent. For China, you clearly do not know the tough situations CCP have suffered throughout its history. As a peasant guerilla force, they fought Japan during WWII, American equipped KMT during Civil War, US Army, Navy & Air force in Korea War, and Soviet in 1970s. The current challenge is just peanut to them.

@gnolan4281 It is your right to not build empire (it is very difficult and dangerous). However it is also the Chinese People’s right to decide whether to restore their Empire/Country. I think you will agree with that right? Europe lives under US protection now. Otherwise anyone without an empire will be ruled by the neighboring Empire.

The Trump Tariff War with China demonstrated that conclusively (US has more deficit with China now than 2018) For food, you probably did not know China currently has almost 2 years supply. It has been the biggest buyer of food supply in past 2 years, maybe due to the low price. For Vietnam, do you know in 2021 Vietnam has $81 Billion surplus with US, but $54 Billion deficit with China? Do you know why? For Taiwan, PLA could level every Taiwanese cities with land-based long-range artillery, like the PCL-191 (350 Kilometer with <10 meter precision), without landing a single solider on Island. You better study the real situation before comment so that you will not make a fool of yourself.

US was and still is the number 1 military power on earth. But China fears no one. I just hope you and US will remember the lessons from the Korean War and Vietnam War. @sailor67duilio27 You are concerning with the wrong thing. You should compare to Pre-War, Pre-Sanction. The key question is whether Russia can win a Long War. IF Russia GDP does not sink 30-50%, I would say it can Last. Now it is actually growing due to high energy price. But Ukraine GDP has been cut by 40-50%. How long do you think West is willing to pomp hundred of billion USD to Ukraine? few years or 20 years like Afgan?
