@bobhilder1469 Bob, there are no electric motorcycles on the road that are more efficient than Aptera at EPA highway speeds, or even close.

@bobhilder1469 We have EPA highway number estimates for Aptera. Do you have the data for "city" speeds, and if so, what speed are you talking about? The large advantage of Aptera is in Cd and frontal area. If you negate that, there may well be other vehicles that could pull ahead due to lighter weight, lower power, and lower rolling resistance, but at a huge hit to their safety. And anyone making a trip on the highway of any of the vehicles you suggest,, will not come close to the Aptera performance under similar conditions.

@bobhilder1469 You can read their claims as well as I can. ABRP has Aptera modeled with their data so you can play with the performance at different speeds and assumptions.

Although not required by the class, it has been designed from the beginning to do well on the FMVSS Part 200 crash tests. They will be voluntarily submitted for testing by a third party and the ratings will be published as soon as production intent models are available to test

@6.5x55 I don't know the answers to all of these questions yet, and wouldn't expect to. We don't know these details from a single other manufacturer at the same stage including the Telsa Cybertruck (which started development about the same time).. The fact that this will be taking place on a voluntary basis when it isn't required should be significant.

@6.5x55 What part of my statement are you calling untrue? There are no ratings yet for the Tesla Cybertruck. Testing requires the existance of production intent samples to test.
