Thanks for your welcome Aptera coverage. It is a shame that promising developments seem to attract so many anonymous trolls.

@aussieideasman8498 It is a shame that our Aussie friend has never gone to the trouble to understand what "proof" even is, let alone "evidence".

I live in rural Iowa and will be reporting on how it performs here with an early model. We have 9" of snow on the ground now, with perhaps as much as 7" more coming in tonight. The high on Sunday will be below zero. One of the advantages Aptera has for winter conditions, is more range than most EVs to compensate for cold weather loss, and a traction control system that can detect wheel spin and adjust torque 32 times per wheel revolution - about every 2.5 inches of tread travel. This is a superior performance, and should translate to good performance in snow and on slick surfaces - especially with the right tires.

@bobhellman8676 The third motor puts 0-60 range in the area of the original Tesla Roadster - probably better - at a third of the price. Aptera won't drop the 3rd motor for the Launch Edition. While tooling costs have gone up, battery costs - which are the majority of the vehicle costs - have dropped rather dramatically since pricing was announced. The amount of labor and the parts count has also decreased. We will have to see where it all ends up when shipping starts.

@billsmith5960 Perhaps you haven't tried to take an ICE vehicle up I17 towards Flagstaff at the speed limit on a summer day? I have and it is common to see them pulled to the side with boiled over radiators and blown head gaskets. The Aptera prototype this occurred with didn't even have the antifreeze cooling lines hooked up to the motors and inverters, and had been operating for months like that. It had climbed the same hill collecting "B" roll for the film crew the same day when that occurred. The production design is FAR better, and will actually be hooked up and working.

@aussieideasman8498 Ausseman thinks he knows more about it from Australia than people who have visited the site. Well he also thinks he can build a perpetual motion machine, because he trusts his own "imagination" more than he does physics - which he doesn't understand in any case. Get real? Certainly imagining things without knowing how to actually research the truth would be more appropriate advice for you to take for yourself.

@aussieideasman8498 Now you are into outright lying. I thought you were better than that. If they weren't intending to sell any why would the pour millions of their funding into production tooling?

Uninformed. The Aptera that they were planning to deliver in 2022 had a vacuum resin infusion produced body. There are now more than 46,000 pre-orders - far more than can be produced using this method. They had to change the design to meet demand. The new carbon fiber - SMC tooling has been finished, and production body parts have been validated. You will soon be seeing production intent vehicles undergoing the validation testing, including crash testing.

The motors stay on the car like drum brakes when balancing wheels and tires. The process is just like any car.

@artboymoy Wise. I just walked over to the grocery store, mainly for the exercise and got a couple of bags of chips. The only workers had driven in from out of town. All the locals had called in due to weather. The snow plows and private tractors are working continuously and can't keep up. We are now in blizzard conditions

@johnbauby6612, theionly thing "total FRAUD" here is your post. First of all, you don't seem to know how much electricity it takes to toast bread. It is completely unrelated to what it takes to make an Aptera run. The correct answer is that the 700 watt peak output of the solar panels could probably do the job, but it would likely take a while. That isn't their purpose. Aptera only uses around 00 watt-hours per mile to run at EPA speeds. Secondly, neither Aptera founders have ever been involved in any scam. Chris Anthony took his last company public as CEO and his investors are thrilled with its performance. Every analyst rating following it rates it a buy. Steve Fambro has run several successful companies and holds patents in many fields. The first Aptera, Inc. never went bankrupt. It was a partnership with Idealab that got rid of the Aptera founders in 2009, and then was liquidated by the Detroit CEO because he changed the plans to one that investors wouldn't fund. All the pre-order deposits were returned. I am publicly calling you a liar, which anyone can confirm by doing a bit of research.

@Okurkaarrgghh Of course we are. We hope for a better world than the one we have and work to create it, unlike people like you who try to tear everything down.
