@90benj i agree, i wonder how scalable analog can be. The company rep at the end does say 50 layers deep results in too much noise so analog-digital-analog workflow may be needed.. anyhow it appeared to me analog computing+ai could be like raspberry pi +custom linux kernel or assemby code which is extremely affordable and "spreadable" to lots of devices like tvs, fridges etc

Its a novel approach that i think does what tensor chip (tpu) are doing (low precision math) even more efficiently but less scalable in depth. Its best for CNN than other models like RNN, fully connected network etcs.

@benjaminlynch9958 youre right but comparing it with highly mature tech (digital chips) based on current usage. This can still be a solution around the Van Neumann bottleneck or competitive in efficiency for high use cases (e.g. shipping, manufacturing, security etc) as it appears to have built-in memory for inference
