25 year old woman, class of 2022 in business, 3.97 gpa, 3 internships, debt free, never been unemployed in my life until 2024. now i've been unemployed for a year and have to bounce temp job to temp job. i want to move out, find a husband and have a family and it feels like i will never be able find a path to do so. i have applied to over 2,000 jobs

unemployed since december 2023, i am a 2022 business grad and now a 25 year old woman with no entry level experience except minimum wage and restaurants
46
25F and been unemployed for a year. only experience is restaurants

I have been unemployed since Dec 2023

There actually aren't enough internships to go around for the amount of college students we have. People can't work full time 9 to 5's in college. Many internships are also still unpaid, which cuts out middle and lower class students who need to work for wage to support themselves or family.

should not be a global pool, no other country displaces its citizen workforce like in the united states

Ok boomer

@Granola_Girl_Cheer All the people I know with communications degrees are gainfully employed, I have a business degree and can't find work.
6
Most people don't expect six fig incomes. Can't live off of 40k per year though... entry level wages haven't gone up in 15 years. You sound like a boomer
5
No men to be found anywhere these days
5
that's crazy.. i'm here as an entry level in the US and the INTERVIEW PROCESSES are taking 2-3 weeks alone.... 4-5 rounds... how'd you find a new job so fast?
4
im a 24 year old woman, unemployed 2022 grad since end of 2023. anybody else in their mid 20's suffering? makes it hard to have a social life, date, can't afford to move out. I feel so alone. I've applied to thousands of jobs at this point, even had my resume professionally redone. I was an excellent student (3.95 GPA) business grad + never been unemployed in my life until now... Been rejected from McDonald's, UHaul, AppleBee's... Etc
2
Same exact story here except class of 2022
2
Not true, I'm hot and can't get an interview
2
@avamasquerade They actually rescinded the offer....
2
so people who've been down on their luck unemployed are just fucked

I wish I could get in contact with these people. I am in the same boat and it is extremely lonely.

2022 business grad, 3.95 gpa + internships, multiple jobs through college, never been unemployed until now. have been unable to find a job since Oct 2023, not even customer service or call centers. i am losing my mind i cannot do this much longer. have tried every temp agency in the area, not a single one responds. i am not even able to find a restaurant job with years of hospitality experience. this is cruel

F the boomers

How did you find the remote job?
1
@semkjaer3581 On the dating apps the first thing men ask is what i do for work 🤣🤣🤣 and yes I do need a job. + move out of state to a better pool of men. Nobody survives on single income anymore either.

@SavageSnake135 i did that when i was 18-22. not for me. hate real estate
1
@SavageSnake135 everyone and their mother is a real estate agent. thousands of dollars in upkeep fees per year and you have to network your ass off. wasn’t worth it for me to continue especially as a young woman. i’m not built for it
1
@Rheisler1475 I have done this to no avail. I have used every channel of communication. I have been ghosted during interview processes, no responded to, despite phone calls and emails and LinkedIn requests. Have never once had luck with a temp agency. I live on the east coast
1
@Rheisler1475 i have tried every staffing agency around. i’m currently 8 rounds deep into an interview process for a $19 an hour 3 month temp role. it’s freaking ridiculous out here. recruiting agencies are not helpful
1
@Rheisler1475 I was originally premedical (3.95 GPA) but had to switch to business during the pandemic and remote learning. Graduated general business unfortunately and it’s been useless
1
Not true. I know absolute failures in college who did comm degrees and are gainfully employed
1
@niqui2u9138 I don’t qualify anymore as I am a 2022 grad
1
@ i’m not eligibile
1
@cancel.lgbtq.6892 I graduated in 2022, can't find full time employment
1
This is just not true. I went to school for medical field and was kicked out due to mandates. so switched to business and a practical field like accounting. been searching since 2022 stuck in restaurants since. you sound ignorant
1
@nick4088 I had a 3.95 GPA. 1500 SAT . 10 AP’s. 3 internships. debt free degree commuted to avoid debt. did everything right
1
@nick4088 I’m a conservative woman and you’re talking shit like that to me. Hope your wife reads this Nick
1
@nick4088 You have no idea who the F you’re talking to
1
@EvelynHayes97 How are you now? 😞
1
