Afghanistan had the withdrawal of US troops after Osama Bin Laden died as shown by the 90% decrease of troop count. Plus in iraq the US pulled in 2011 and went back again in 2014 when ISIS caused some issues.

For israel, it's for those who thing the US should go to hell religiously and the US helping Israel changes opinion on them as they're helping God's people unless you're Arab, Buddhist, etc. Also, you take a specific instance of a bombing, hospitals was necessary as the enemy were trying to use it as a safe place to shoot at the Israelis like the Iraqis did in 2003.

  15. If you didn't notice that building 1 mile of road in Afghanistan equals to 50 million dollars. Reason being the terrain is mountainous as hell and the mountains causes massive logistical supply issues. Like looking at the terrain you can clearly see why building roads is insanely difficult.

  29.  @106.  The US actually did a lot suffering 2.5k casualties and causing 51k Taliban deaths with most major battles won. It's just that if you think about the logistics you can see why it's hard to fight in Afghanisyan already and trying to displace an enemy with a tunnel network in the mountains.

Anyways Afghan civilians will most likely fail as their poor weapons training might get themselves screwed, but I mean hey during the American Revolution the war was fought with civilians fighting g the superior British military.

Second battle fought by marines, sheer dominance. The M16A4 with no full auto was bad for urban combat yet thr corps dominated. 2003 Nasiriyah, army convoy ambushed, then marines commit a change of plans to go take over the city. Taken within a few days. Marine 1st Recon Battalion, spearhead of TF Tarawa in busted, unarmored, open top, no doors hunvees with the age approx sometime around the 1980s, hand me downs from the army. 1993 Mogadishu, marines withdraw and the army gets into a dumpster fire. 2001, 5k SOF operators take over Afghanistan and some smarty said that bringing the army would win the war. What resulted was a wave of warcrimes and antagonizing of locals. Also, the caliphate causes the most amount of civilian casualties. Idk man they love urban centers, I wonder why. (Totally not free dead civilians the caliphate can use as body shields and free propaganda). Also, I don't do movies, I know many marines and army dudes along with their gopro they took into battle.

"Like you said so emphatically, 99% of insurgents are gone, and marines can go in like rambo and singlehandedly overthrowing a regime without inside help, CIA, local militias, whole battalions of soldiers etc." You forgot the fact that I mentioned SOF and I never specified a country for that kind of group, the CIA is also classed under CIA. Local Militias aren't that great unless they are part of the 36th Commandos, or in other units that can actually do their job instead of retreating. Not to mention I DID MENTION THE BIG ARMY, I was just comparing effectiveness. It seems you cannot comprehend English pal.

Insurgents love urban warfare as it's free propaganda and makes the Coalition Forces use restraint as they want the foundation to remain so they don't level several blocks of buildings unlike in Russia. As keeping those foundations makes combat difficult short term, it provides long term growth and prosperity as people won't be displaced as much when things aren't being leveled, keeping the economy running as the places to do business will remain, etc.

The US could stay there forever it's just that the mission in Afghanistan was completed in 2014 and troop decrease happened after Osama Bin Laden was killed.

Plus, there are 0 oil wells of now and the first country that wanted the oil was an Argentine Company. Not to mention the fact that the US is not allowed to have these minerals for free the Afghan government states and requires payment. When the Soviet Union took over the country they found those deposits yet if you think they were in it for the minerals I am wondering why not use their allies such as India aka the largest high-quality gem exporter. Even if they were in the business of resource extraction tell me, why leave when there is still tons of it lying around? Also, tell me, why haven't I seen mines in Afghanistan yet nor oil wells.

  66. Honestly in my opinion the US was pulling out in 2011 after Osama died and in 2014 Obama declared the mission in Afghanistan was complete and decided to use under 10k soldiers to stay in Afghanistan after 2014 to act is as advisors for the ANA.

  67.  @harry.flashman  Afghanistan will never get fixed unless all tribes that have been fighting each other prior to any invasion decided to work with each other which isn't happening thanks to the extremely large mountains. Infrastructure is screwed as trying to make one is hard as it can easily be harrased as the mountains get in the way of making roads.

Afghanistan has no oil pumps nor any oil extraction methods and still didn't produce any oil since 2001. Plus, China has done more resource exploitation in Afghanistan.

  83.  @JCarterme3531  Nah, because after Osama Bin Laden was killed troop levels in Afghanistan lowered which happened around 2010 and 2011. In 2014 Obama declared that the mission in Afghanistan was completed and lowered the troop level to 8.5k to train up the ANA and to let the next president to decide the fate.

Ok, I am gonna counter and agree with the arguments that are being stated and bringing up some facts, I am a Chinese Born American Citizens with parents that were born in Hong Kong with my oldest family member being born in China in the 50s with my family moving out from Hon Kong, China to IL, the USA in the 2000s. So, I have been to China myself during the 2010s as a child and I remember it being pretty shit especially the toilets and visiting my parent's old house it looked hella worse than my current living situation and the only good memory was the trains and the food. So, I agree that western media is biased towards china but did you know that Western Media also shits on the US too about wars in the middle east. I agree with the fact that China has censorship in place and has caused Corona to happen for not telling the CDC that the virus was a thing before it was too late with measures taken to use the Dark Web to get the word out. I agree with the fact that China is doing this for the good of the people as religion can cause civil war. Tiananmen Square was a horrible thing that happened and you cannot deny that the shooting of protestors occurred and in such large numbers happened. Mao was a hella good leader during WW2 and the Korean War and made the Great Leap Forward which was I found a great thing. I disagree with people telling me to look at the opium wars as that era wasn't communist. I would like to bring up the fact that a League of Legends gamer literally got censored on a live stream. Pipe issues? The last time that happened was me leaving the bath faucet on as a child causing water damage and my family living in Chicago for the past 20 plus years coming from China we never had to deal with pipe issues and I am in the middle class living in Chinatown where literally I live near 3 major parts of Chicago and I can see the bridges out my window.   99. In my honest opinion Afghanistan should have new borders as the country is multi ethnic and those tribes have been fighting each other 24/7 since they met each other. You cannot simply pave roads in Afghanistan as 75% of the country is mountainous and Taliban fighters can easily harass construction sites and the mountains are used as choke points to funnel people into to soon later attack.
