I mean hey, Pakistan harbors the Taliban as it was discovered that Osama Bin Laden set up his HQ in Pakistan.

If you didn't notice that building 1 mile of road in Afghanistan equals to 50 million dollars. Reason being the terrain is mountainous as hell and the mountains causes massive logistical supply issues. Like looking at the terrain you can clearly see why building roads is insanely difficult.

@edwardbernays8514 Nah the situation was inevitable when the borders were made.

Yemen is basically a proxy war of the new Middle Eastern cold war in which both Saudis and Iranians are fighting each other in Yemen without an official declaration of war.

Well can you explain away that Osama Bin Laden was hiding in Pakistan?
1
@devsip2277 Yeah it was actually in the plan.

@olliegrigg6752 Tell me, does Afghanistan have any oil wells?
1
@nomoremrniceguy8106 It didn't fail as the major issue in Afghanistan was in the south as the majority of the activity happens in there. Along with small pockets near Kabul. The US could stay there forever it's just that the mission in Afghanistan was completed in 2014 and troop decrease happened after Osama Bin Laden was killed.

@1salahudin First off, tell me why they need thosedeposits when they are literally allied with the largest mining companies for example South Africa. Plus, there are 0 oil wells of now and the first country that wanted the oil was an Argentine Company. Not to mention the fact that the US is not allowed to have these minerals for free the Afghan government states and requires payment. When the Soviet Union took over the country they found those deposits yet if you think they were in it for the minerals I am wondering why not use their allies such as India aka the largest high-quality gem exporter. Even if they were in the business of resource extraction tell me, why leave when there is still tons of it lying around? Also, tell me, why haven't I seen mines in Afghanistan yet nor oil wells.

@talhathd What were you responding to?
1
@1salahudin then tell me why the large coalition of European forces in Afghanistan?
1
Honestly in my opinion the US was pulling out in 2011 after Osama died and in 2014 Obama declared the mission in Afghanistan was complete and decided to use under 10k soldiers to stay in Afghanistan after 2014 to act is as advisors for the ANA.
1
@harry.flashman Afghanistan will never get fixed unless all tribes that have been fighting each other prior to any invasion decided to work with each other which isn't happening thanks to the extremely large mountains. Infrastructure is screwed as trying to make one is hard as it can easily be harrased as the mountains get in the way of making roads.
1
@zonairrohan9075 Yet tell me where does most Taliban contact happen? Oh right the Afghan Pakistani border.
1
@zonairrohan9075 Looking at the geography Afghanistan will never unite ever. It's been a multi ethnic nation from the start and always will be with many in fighting.
1
@zonairrohan9075 Apparently after the Taliban is regaining more control of Afghanistan terrorist groups in Pakistan have gotten more power and ISIS got more power apparently and invaded parts of Europe.
1
@mjoseph2334 Noticing that more and more coalition weapons being used by terrorists. Not to mention the fact that Pakistan is under more threat.

Mikaaeel Khan China: Proceeds to invade Afghanistan.
1
@IanCoomer what are you responding too? Btw I was joking about China invading Afghanistan to reference China invading Vietnam in 1979.
1
@JCarterme3531 Nah, because after Osama Bin Laden was killed troop levels in Afghanistan lowered which happened around 2010 and 2011. In 2014 Obama declared that the mission in Afghanistan was completed and lowered the troop level to 8.5k to train up the ANA and to let the next president to decide the fate.
1
@JCarterme3531 Trump asked for the peace deal and not Obama and Obama declared troop withdrawal as the mission in Afghanistan in his eyes were done and kept troops to train the ANA and let the next president to do whatever. When Trump took office he asked for peace.
1
@hmq9052 Fun fact troop withdrawal actually happened when Osama Bin Laden was killed and by 2014 the mission in Afghanistan was over Obama said and decides to keep a troop force of around 8.7k to act as advisors for the ANA.
1
@josephclark5414 Might be good until it frees up supply to ISIS which is now currently spreading into Europe and more parts of Africa.
1
@Sarah Aimaq Are you a real Afghan or not? You do realize that the Taliban are disguising themselves as civilians along with a language barrier making it difficult to route out the bad guys.
1
In my honest opinion Afghanistan should have new borders as the country is multi ethnic and those tribes have been fighting each other 24/7 since they met each other. You cannot simply pave roads in Afghanistan as 75% of the country is mountainous and Taliban fighters can easily harass construction sites and the mountains are used as choke points to funnel people into to soon later attack.

Mikaaeel Khan Well I would like to say I don't care about the racism issue as it's been pretty much solved in my city. Not to mention the fact that your race is also dark-skinned. Are you calling dark-skinned people devils right now? Hell, I am an American Born Chinese parent with parents coming out from Hong Kong with my news source being from China called TVB News. Not to mention my points in my opinion are based on the fact you can actually research the Hindu Kush in Afghanistan and why it's being an issue.
