@Nicholas Brown btw you said Iraq and Saddam and not Afghanistan LMAO. Also, I did research the incident with your keywords to search before the post I am commenting on and I've found nothing. I've only found it when you yourself decided to actually give me the keywords. Also, you failed to cite the 90% statistic in your argument and the airstrike occurred in 2001. The Apache footage I am talking about is when US Army Aviation found an entire convoy of ISIS in Iraq and the US proceeded to destroy 50 plus vehicles in the area. Not to mention the Battle of Wanat isn't a loss as the troops stationed managed to hold their ground. Then the US seeing how bad the position was AFTER the battle, they decided to leave the area. Not to mention the base was literally under construction when the attack happened so the Taliban lost the fight when they literally had everything going for them. Now the only real group that legitimately defeated the coalition forces is the Mahdi Army that forced a deal with the US in Iraq through sheer combat.

@Nicholas Brown Taliban didn't force the US out of a key area in the first place as literally the war lost objective the moment OBL died. Plus there was no key area in Wanat besides getting friendly with the locals (which was the main goal). Also, sure they got many servicemembers in Korengal and got it a nickname too. Yet, the valley was showing little progress and was just an area to get US troops shot up in, and with the death of OBL, along with the mass withdrawal of troops got the valley closed to operate in. Research troop numbers in Afghanistan by year. Plus to poke at your wording, tactical vs strategic as the US dominated the battlefield. Not to mention Iraq was the 9k casualty figure. The entire coalition lost 3.5k soldiers in 20 years of conflict compared to Vietnam with 58k in like 10 to 15 years. Oh yeah I'd like to mention the US killed OBL and made AL Queda into an weak cell in Afghanistan. Not to mention there was more goals with them being to get those who attacked us on September 11th, 2001, and make sure al Qaeda could not use Afghanistan as a base from which to attack the U.S. again in which the US was successful in.

@Nicholas Brown lol, I said the US turned AL Queda into a small cell that's practically almost dead nor has any impact on global politics. You my man can clearly not read or you just enjoy cherrypicking. Also, we're talking about AK Queda in Afghanistan and I didn't say they didn't operate anymore. My man needs to read stuff better. Also, the US killed OBL, changed the government of Afghanistan, practically completed all its wargoals during the real war in Afghanistan 2001 to 2014. When the US decides to withdraw like 80 to 90 percent of its troops from the period 2010 to 2014, a taliban resurgence occurred in 2015, yet the US didn't bother to send in a large force like to the levels of 2007 to 2010. Then you go on to call the Taliban a terror group which is very much incorrect and is more like a very dictator like partisan group. Also, if you'd bother looking at the kit they got its pretty outdated. Watch their people doing training raids from helicopters and you'd notice PVS7s dating back to the start of the Iraq war with horrid depth perception. The US military has moved onto the PVS31 that is way superior to the old PVS7. Not to mention if you bothered checking, a lot of equipment was left for the ANA that was ineffective and collapsed immediately when the US left unlike the Arvn 1973 to 1975. Dude, Pakistan and India are literally being funded Western gear from the US itself and Pakistan literally helps the taliban so very mixed and tangled relationships going on right now. Also, there's this little video of an insurgent in Syria fighting some turks with an M4 Carbine long before the US withdrew. Btw, cite the claim of Somalia getting M16s with Afghanistan serial numbers as my search results greeted me with a couple finding a bunch of M16s. Also, the Somalian military has M16s in their official arsenal. Not to mention the M16s are sent to a lot of countries and can make their way to communist guerrillas in the Philippines to Syria.

@Nicholas Brown https://youtu.be/rcZcc1I2qKo Lots of iron sights, PVS7s you can see the moneye on those NVGs. Not to mention they the gear got some paint rusted off. Not to mention I don't like SOF a lot as they just very light and easily outgunned infantry.

@Nicholas Brown you used statistics from both wars, and yet you don't know which statistics goes where when you say the US lost 9k troops in Afghanistan. Also, I've also provided a basis for my argument. That the US didn't lose strategically in Afghanistan, actually achieved wargoals, and how the US doesn't really focus on Afghanistan much.
