I say, many people are not that smart. Yet I cannot seem to wrap my head around that the Mujahideen and AL Qeuda are two different groups. The Mujahideen aren't terrorists so is the Taliban, but AL Queda is.

@BobBob-et9io Mujahideen aren't terrorists but AL Queda is and are two different groups.

@hafizsyednomanali6868 nope you are wrong, the Mujahideen are terrorists and they became the Taliban. When President Bush made speeches against Afghanistan he mainly included AL Qeuda and Osama Bin Laden and not the Taliban. Obama said the same thing when he was in office. US funded Mujahideen yes, but didn't fun terrorists like AL Qeuda and US made equipment was given to them via by means the US cannot control in which people on the ground steal stuff from the Mujahideen to keep AL Qeuda going.

@StreetTerrorist187 we didn't leave equipment for them, they got it from the Afghan National Army and not the US. Their tank looking vehicles aren't actually tanks, they are rear guard M117's for military police not frontlinencombat and are ment for rear line usage. The aircraft they got are propeller driven and their Blackhawks are dated. Their humvees aren't even armored and have 80s era chasis.

E Van equipment? What equipment did the US give to the Taliban? More like Taliban capturing Afghan National Army stockpiles.
1
@WellBehavedForeigner Taliban got dominated suffering 58k casualties and only inflicting 2k on the US. Plus, when the US pulled from Afghanistan in 2014 the Taliban gained ground.

@quanguy8624 war doesn't make people rich, they actually lose money.

@WellBehavedForeigner what?

@WellBehavedForeigner what you posted was some weird stuff.

E Van It's not funding from thw US, the gear the Taliban got were dated and bought from the internet along with the fact that the weapon caches they got were from the Afghan National Army.
1
E Van The Afghan Army actually paid for it and the stockpiles the Taliban got were ANA in origin.
1
E Van Riddle me this, why is the majority of the gear the Taliban got are old and outdated and their kits looking like they came from some online store.
1
E Van pretty sure most of the 85 billion was counting up the costs of the equipment.

@VIP Only I'm not really, sure the US funded the Mujahideen but that's not AL Queda, plus I'm willing to bet that you think the Taliban is an international terror group and that AL Queda is the same thing.
