  1.  @emikomina  If Hawaii were to be free, it would either be a puppet of the U.S., or a piece of land that would be fought over in the Pacific by the U.S.A. and China. Not to mention, what happens if all those tourists go away? Hawaii would just become another Haiti.

  3.  @Temptation666  Or we just don't care really as we are forced to quiz on it in APUSH and HUSH as it was a chapter part of the U.S. in the Spanish American war.
