Deciduous trees are not natural there and the natural environment supports coniferous forests all over Canada. When the climate and soils change sufficiently the deciduous trees will plant themselves ... in a couple of thousand years of warmer planet and soil chemistry changes. The oak forests of Britain were coniferous after the glaciers melted and time and succession growth made the deciduous forest possible over thousands of years.

No fires on the Coast as far as I know. The big ones are hundreds of miles from Maple Ridge. BC is a big place. It's twice the size of France.

@BanTeslaX Maple syrup is produced 3,000 miles away in the deciduous "maple" forests of Southern Quebec. Canada is the size of Europe. Try to educate yourself. Canada is a nation of immigrants and we all look funny to some other diaspora group, here.

@BidensTinks-dn9me It's a problem. Canada gets between 20,000 and 40,000 illegals crossing into Canada from the US every year. The border is 6,000 miles long. Try closing that!
