The prevailing wind is Westerly and that would blow the radioactive fallout into Russia. I wonder why those soldiers were so poorly informed? Russia must have a terrible educational system. There is all sorts of evidence for that. Was Chernobyl so long ago that people are forgetting about it? It's more likely that the Russians have erased the event from their glorious history because it was such a blatant technical failure for them. (Didn't that reactor melt down because the operators on duty were drunk?)
