  1. I'd like to bring your attention to this painting that hangs prominently in the Canadian War Museum in Ottawa. It is of Titanic's sister RMS Olympic in Halifax in her Great War troop ship dazzle paint scheme. It was painted by Canadian Group of Seven artist Arthur Lismer and it looks like a surreal abstract but it you compare it to photos of Olympic in her dazzle, it is dead accurate. Lismer painted her "live" from the jetty. https://commons.wikimedia.org/wiki/File:Arthur_Lismer_-_Olympic_with_Returned_Soldiers.jpg ... not 100% "naval" but close enough for a Snotty's navigation. Olympic transported more than 200,000 soldiers during the war and she participated in the destruction of a U-Boat.
