@Cbabilon675 There is a long and sorry history of these sorts of inventions. The seven invasions of Canada between 1812 and 1814? Later historic re-writes say that the impressment of sailors out in the Atlantic was an OUTRAGE and therefore it justified invading peaceable and lightly armed agrarian colonies to the North. Well, the impressment of sailors was so inconsequential to them in 1815 that the Treaty of Ghent (peace treaty) makes zero mention of it ... nothing, not a clause ... a peep ... nada. It likely became your official history somewhere mid-19th century to justify naked American aggression. This is standaard fare and I've seen at least three other examples of this myth creation in my lifetime.
