  2. The Royal Canadian Air Force flew their Genie armed F-101 Voodoos right up to the polar ice cap for years, only standing them down when Canada decided to get out of the nuclear arms business (supposedly) around 1980 and when the Voodoos were retired and replaced by F-18s.
