... except that didn't happen. Europe didn't freeze, is still rich and it was the poor Russians that froze this winter because of their incompetence.

@PatternResearch I suppose if Russia were a European nation, we would include them n the recession list. Maybe 'depression" will be a more accurate description.

They're shipping oil illegally, transferring it from "neutral" tankers to Rissian tankers mid-sea. This would amount to a little trickle of the stuff compared to what a pipeline to Europe would have moved. It ws a karmic moment when the Houtis almost sank a tanker full of Russian oil last week.
