  1. Russia managed to keep it afloat by doing things like dumping gold but that won't go on forever. One of the unforeseen consequences of this war is that Russia just alienated their best customers and are left selling dibbles of oil and gas to China, India at bargain basement prices to keep the oil patches going. The pipelines led to Germany, not Asia. Ruble will be rubble for decades.
