@jebbo-c1l Canada started training up 10s of thousands of Ukrainian troops starting with that 2014 invasion (as did the UK and US as well). The presence of a NATO trained core using Western military doctrine probably saved Ukraine in the early days of 2022.

Trump is breathing down everyone's neck and we are looking at American aid being abruptly cut off to Ukraine, NATO suddenly watching the US leave the alliance, the US retreating from all sorts of multilateral military agreements (NORAD? RIMPAC? Five Eyes? ANZUS?).... all exactly one year from now. Putin can smell victory, again. Maybe, Trump finally becomes a real billionaire then.
