  2.  @ajisenramen888  The Japanese sent pretty much the entire Russian Pacific fleet to the bottom just before WWI. It was one of the most one-sided naval battles in history and the last time the Russians dared engage another fleet like that. Russian propaganda is glorious, though.

  3.  @ВикторЛ-щ8ц  We weren't talking about the USA (where did that non-sequitur come from?) but that was at the end of WWII. Except for a few gunboat skirmishes, there have only been two sea battles since WWII, one in the Falkland Islands and another around the Strait of Hormuz. The Russians haven't won a naval battle since the 19th century and their fleet was annihilated by the Japanese at the beginning of the twentieth.

  4.  @sweetlachok  The fighting was over. The Soviets never fired a shot. Japan did not "capitulate" to the Russians. They had already surrendered to the Americans and British, Commonwealth. You Russians sure try hard to cover your cowardly deeds, don't you? ... and you wonder why we all laugh at you ...

Thawas after winning the Battles of Midway, Coral Sea, Philippine Sea and Leyte Gulf. There have only been two naval battles of any consequence since: in the Falkland Islands and in the Persian Gulf (Iran-Iraq)
