  1. For a time it was ... not always. The Government s of the day found it politically expedient to sent the Armed Forces on peacekeeping missions, especially during the Vietnam era. Notice that we don't anymore. We found out the hard way that there is no peace to keep but the Canadian pubic are still stopping to smell the flowers and let the Armed Forces wither away.
