  7. I'm a Canadian Veteran and I'd say that both parties have been deplorable at supporting our military (We have 12 Frigates instead of the 18 ordered because of Jason Kenney). The one constant that is to blame for this situation is the Canadian people themselves who have failed miserably to support the Forces. There are no votes in Canada for Defence spending. It helps neither party. Canadians don't give a crap.

  33. It's possible that they calculated it would be more intact if shot down over water than over the land. The balloon itself would act as a drogue and it would have a "relatively" softer landing into the sea and therefore more of it would be recoverable for analysis. If it dropped onto the land, it would very likely be in itty-bitty pieces. You can bet your boots that the US Navy will be working around the clock to recover every piece of this "aircraft" to find out what it's really all about. (How about a potential delivery method for biological or chemical agents?)

Canada's "wartime Prime Minister" ... making a fuss about future cluster munitions use by Ukrainians on Ukrainian territory so that they can free themselves after totally ignoring the MILLIONS of land mines that have been seeded all over Ukraine for the last year and a half.
