  1.  @MatthewChenault  True. Theses are guided, sea-skimming cruise missiles like Exocets and earlier Harpoon and they are designed to hit at the waterline. Mostly, you will encounter machinery spaces there but ... you're right ... with a little luck maybe a storage bay full of missiles.

  3.  @MatthewChenault  One missile strike shouldn't sink a ship unless a magazine or something as volatile (turbine fuel?) was hit. The Ukrainians are claiming two hits. it is also possible that like Russian tanks, their warships are of inferior design and construction. The Russian Navy hasn't been tried in battle since WWII and the surface fleet didn't do much back then.There will be a tendency to cut corners in construction if you've never faced threats and instead turn out mean-looking propaganda props like the Kirovs.

  5.  @forfun5238  Do you know how difficult it is to shoot down an incoming sea-skimming cruise missile radars on? It's a one in a hundred long shot. That's why Western vessels mostly have CIWS on board. You Know that? Gamer? Russian Gamer?
