The Russians are offering "safe passage" deep into the heart of Siberia where they'll never be heard of again.
1
@VladislavDoroshuk Yes.

Proportional representation would give more seats to Ontario and wipe them out in places like PEI, the Yukon, NWT, Nunavut, Newfoundland, New Brunswick, Saskatchewan and Manitoba. Alberta would be a wash with about the same representation before and after. Alberta has 1/9th of the population of Canada and 1/9th of the seats in Parliament. God help us if we ever adopt something as kooky as the US system over the Westminster first past the post that we have now.
1
@brucewayne3892 So, what do you propose ..... mass cleansing of Ontario so that you can rule? People settled there because of industry, soil fertility and climate. Is that really a crime against YOU?
1
@NBeaver-bx4yl If that rule were strictly true, the Conservatives would never form governments. Ontario (and Quebec to a certain extent) votes both ways and you may see a change this time. It's funny, Liberals in power and Ontarians are "bad, bad people". Conservatives in power and "the Weest is in!" even though it's Ontario ridings that usually decide either outcome.
1
@carpediem7654 I suggest that you educate yourself as to the nature of NATO because you clearly don't understand what it is and what it does.
1
@canadiansociologist5929 We are paying for ourselves. You are misinformed. We don't pay a nickel for the Queen. Anyway, however you feel about it the Crown is so embedded in our Constitution that try as you might, huff-and-puff away you will find it next to impossible to get us out of the monarchy. For one thing, you will have to have the unanimous agreement of all of the Provinces to do so. Good luck with that. They can't agee to the colour of shyte and you know that one or another of them will block it for their own reasons. I get it ... you are young, idealistic and not up to speed on what can and cannot happen in Canadian politics.
1
@nozornozor8270 Of course they did! It was meant to freak out the Germans and scare them into thinking: "Oh no! We're all going to freeze this winter" except that they didn't and now, Moscow has clumsily lost their biggest cu]stromer forever. So yes, the Russians blew up their own pipeline. They are not the smartest ...
1
@CodeLife_12 I grew up in Montreal and it wasn't an issue there until the mental hospitals closed.
1
@ec6052 I'm 66 and it wasnt a pron[blem for the first 20 plus years of my life (and I lived in a big inner city for a time, back then}. Something changed and pretty suddenly and dramatically. I suggest that you re-examine the fundamentals and stop overcomplicating this by sorting through the minutiae.
1
@RachelTScott That all started in the late 60s/early 70s when the "hippy" culture came to Vancouver, bringing peace, love and heroin addicts. It didn't used to be like that ... not much anyway.
1
@terryleung622 Yup . See above post. They're building to very large supply ships and a passel of Coast Guard ships at Seaspan. They're also nearly a decade behind. The dope's pretty smooth out there.
1
@MetaView7 Who is your preferred contractor? ... a shipyard in Red Deer?
1
@MetaView7 The Chinese are pooping out tin cans built to mercantile standards so that they can have a big navy on the cheap and quick. We did that during the wartime emergency but those flimsy, hastily built ships sank like bricks when they were hit and so will the Chinese destroyer more than likely. It takes years to build a proper warship anywhere and the Chinese are not taking the time. Don't forget, the last time the Chinese fought a major naval engagement, they were in ships made from mahogany and bamboo. Being "Wolf Warriors" won't be nearly enough. China is amateur hour when it comes to navy.
1
@maddon4984 I see. You can't even put together a complete English clause and "my mind is wandering"
1
Ukrainians likely didn't have to do this. There must be all sorts of Russian suspects who would like the see the end of Putin and his henchmen. How about the parent/relatives of a deceased Russian soldier who died for Dugin's "philosophy"?
1
@feral4506 Hey, that's only fair. Trump's on Putin's payroll.
1
@City0fTroy The Canadian army has been training the Ukrainians since 2014 (about 35,000 of them). The British only just found out about it.
1
@Youtube music Not like the Russians did! [snicker]
1
@Youtube music Oh, yeh that "Soviet Union" here everyone spoke Russian, was controlled by Russians in Moscow. It's amazing how the cowardly Russians try to weasel out of their evil deeds.
1
@Youtube music The Soviet Union was the Russian empire and Putin's declared aim is to re-create it. Cowardly Russians trying to absolve themselves of their evil deeds ...
1
@Youtube music Of course they aren't The imprisoned parts of the Soviet Union were able to leave the Russians when it broke up but the Russians are re-invading those countries (like Ukraine) to re-build the Russian empire formerly renamed the "Soviet Union". It was 100% fully controlled by Russians in Russia. Maybe, you should read a book or something.
1
@jeffroe8301 ... soon enough. This is the perfect superspreader event. Chain smoking truckers who have been breathing carbon monoxide exhaust fumes for three weeks, high fiving their unvaccinated buddies the whole time ought to be the Grim Reaper's favorites.
1
@jeffroe8301 Hey. I'm not going to end up in a hospital over Covid. This'll end up like that Sturgis Biker rally that ended up infecting 260,000 people. In the end, Darwin will get rid of the insurrection.
1
@James-dt7ky Wow!~ What a horrible insult! What can I call you back? Tucker Carlson Zombie Robot, perhaps?
1
I am happy about this. She is a traitor.
1
My hovercraft is full of eels.
1
@Brian Johnston who are "they " and what money?
1
@Brian Johnston What are you on about?
1
@Brian Johnston What are you talking about? Who is feeding you this nonsense?
1
@Brian Johnston I haven't had it yet, dim bulb (IQ .... hmmmm, 75?)
1
@RaymondHng That's okay. It wouldn't have made sense to leave a such a benign multinational association.
1
@davidmcintyre998 You have a problem with the Commonwealth in England? Do you have a problem with Canada? Australia? New Zealand? They have people of every colour there.Perhaps more of us should leave.
1
@davidmcintyre998 Wow! First Europe, now the Caribbean You don't play well with others, do you?
1
The disgrace is that this government, all the previous governments back to Louis St. Laurent and YOU , the Canadian taxpayer have failed to properly support our Armed Forces. You should be ashamed!
1
@sirajsiddique1109 No, Canadians do it to ourselves. We are not a nation of victims. If we were we'd never be able to fix it. Victims complain all the time but do doodily-doo about it.
1
@luannecorlett4683 Maybe, some re-entering space junk will hit a cliff over your head, knocking a big boulder loose that crashes into an 18 wheeler that crashes into another tractor trailer that crashes into you.
1
@JFK762 What assets in Ukraine? Please make a list and fill us in.
1
@@libertyinperil520 You do know that paranoia about conspiracies everywhere and distruest of everyone is a symptom of mental illness?
1
So, now the Russians are going to seed mines all over the shipping lanes to cut off grain shipments from Ukraine to Africa and then blame Ukraine for cutting off grain shipments to Africa and the Africans will buy the story.
1
@craig7350 You can Google it. "Canadian Weapons of Mass Destruction". They really were real.
1
The US is also dependant on Canadians patrolling their air space in Alaska. There is a treaty called NORAD and the responsibility is shared.
1
@Timeforchangenow Did you see the people that Trump tried to pack into the Department of Defense at the end of his "reign" to support an actual coup? This is the difference between Canada and the US...
1
Who's going to buy German weapons and weapon designs now? They are controlling our foreign policy.
1
@marcgrondin5836 Perhaps, you watch too much television and don't read enough books. Social media rots your brain faster than methamphetamine.
1
With what? The flogged out Frigates are all in refit lest their bottoms fall out due to their lifespans being extended way past their sell-by dates because successive governments don't give a hoot about Canada's Armed Forces. Going to send soldiers? Really? Another token force like the total of 35 Peacekeepers now deployed that let's us call ourselves a "peacekeeping country"? Send aircraft? When our ancient fighters were being built, Mao was still in power.
1
"What might come next?" The NATO Nazis are hiding in the Moscow Metro system.
1
She's a hell of a lot better at it than most of her predecessors over the last few decades (No, I am not a Liberal but I am a Veteran who is quite impressed with her).
1
@malindaallen718 What harm? Progress! I think you'll find that a large majority of Canadians agree with me.
1
They save that for peasants.
