@cudlefish9990 Okay, troll. The US is a dying power.
1
@cudlefish9990 You think that being a "power" that conquers and enslaves is something to aspire to? Anyway, the ultimate resource war is looming on the horizon and it isn't about oil or lithium or rare earth, it's about fresh water. We are charging head-on into a world with 20 billion plus inhabitants and Canada is THE fresh water superpower.
1
@johnsparrow4627 They should and will if they are embarrassed enough. Russia isn't worth the grief.
1
What are you on about? You mean, Russia was going to withdreaw from Ukraine and Boris intervened somehow? The Ukraninas aren't going to surrender any land, yet or maybe ever so your phony-baloney "peace agreement" remains Russian propaganda.
1
@clappercl No, I just know goddam well that there is close to zero chance that a measily 11 drones are going to get the job done. You must know all about making bricks without straw. It's an old Canadian military tradition. (Sorry that you're so ashamed of your service, btw.)
1
@NixonThr336ix The Army has vehicles that can lift up broken Leopard II tanks and Lav 4s. Your Tonka Toys are trivial bits of scrap. Good luck getting them out of the impound yards with them buried over the axles in spring-thaw mud.
1
@NixonThr336ix The Canadian Army trains the Peshmerga in Northern Iraq the a=same way we do in Ukraine. If you're a serious ideologue or a foreign troll,(or on powerful drugs) our 200 Special Forces people there training the Kurds to survive the enemies that surround them on four sides add up to an "occupation" . "War crimes", eh? Which one are you? PLA? FSB? Iranian?
1
@NixonThr336ix Good. If they were really doing their jobs, they'd be scooping them up with bulldozers and turning them into Soylent Green crackers. Anyway, Kiss your trucks goodbye one-by-one because they're now police evidence.
1
If those are Ukrainian soldiers surrendering, that's the last time that anyone is going to see them alive.
1
Hmmmm. Why do I not trust US Ambassadors, anymore?
1
Who says that besides you?
1
The Liberals don't (never did) spend money on Defence because they don't see votes in it so Canada gets less and less prepared to face a conflict as the years go by. The government has a responsibility to our safety from over-the-time-horizon threats. Governance isn't just about simple transactions - "You vote for me, I'll support your shipyard with a bit of military spending". (Note how Anand is trying to take credit for the Arctic Patrol ships.)
1
Here's another clue: about 1/3rd of the adult Russian population suffers from Fetal Alcohol Syndrome. Alcohol abuse is so widespread throughout the population that an average Russian male lives 67.62 years which is 13.53 years LESS than the average Canadian male who makes it to 81.15 years. Chess doesn't help you much if so much of your country is sickly and damaged.
1
Notice how keen the Chinese are to have Liberal governments in Canada.
1
The man is doing his job brilliantly. Putin can't fly the world looking for support because he risks arrest for war crimes almost everywhere. Besides, when Putin flew to China looking for armaments from there, he was greeted warmly and left with no armaments.
1
@herbgardener4007 Sowjet ... fast pig ... yes, that's it!
1
What would you prefer instead?
1
Then United States is not signatory to the ICC. Neither is Turkey. Nice theory, though. It will make for a slick if incorrect meme.
1
Ouchwitz Summer Camp LLC To be fairer, the United States does nothing of the sort and they don't sign on so that people like Petraeus and Dubya don't stand trial.
1
Ouchwitz Summer Camp LLC Okay, Lieutenant. (PLA?)
1
@Nubbe999 What are you babbling about? The General is talking about getting the last refugees out before they're slaughtered. You're spouting yesterday's slogans. Are you some sort of AI BOT by any chance?
1
@NBeaver-bx4yl You need to re-name yourself "Non Sequitur"
1
@AahFukIt The Russians have openly, publicly vowed to destroy the Ukrainian power grid infrastructure and they openly do so on a daily basis. That power plant is the biggest single asset in the Ukrainian power grid and the biggest reactor complex in Europe. Try to figure it out yourself. Use extra paper if you need to.
1
@hardracerone No. Most Canadians think that the Russians are knuckle-walking pre-human hominids and that the "smart" part of the Soviet Union wasn't the Russian part.
1
@AahFukIt You are commenting on a Canadian news report, not on some mysterious "MSM" (whatever that is) and you are in massively over your head I"m afraid.
1
@randalsaul6612 You're an uneducated child. Albertan right?
1
@randalsaul6612 Listen, mandhild. I'm a 66 year old Veteran and not the product of the whack-a-doodle MAGA moron cult that has ensnared your half formed intellect. Some day, you'll look back at te tripe that you believed in in 2022 and you will be deeply embarrassed...provided of course that you actually grow up along the way.
1
@randalsaul6612 You're babbling, Junior. Mental illness like that needs to be tended to..
1
@bobwoods1302 Not much chance of them building trade relationships, then. Piss-poor Russia is about to get a lot poorer. Russia's economy at #11 is going to be down around #20 when their "force" forces all of their customers to buy elsewhere to avoid the blackmail.
1
@randalsaul6612 " Scott Ritter and col. MacGregor" They're just Yanks. Why should I give a feck?
1
@randalsaul6612 Russia has a monopoly on none of them and because they are genocidal monsters, it is a good idea to not form relationships with them. Trade with someone else who has the same resources to sell ... like Canada for example. Canada has a bigger economy than Russia's with 1/4 of the population (which means that they are more competent traders with 4 times the productivity per citizen) . They don't hold anyone hostage, threaten anyone and they believe in free bilateral trade. At the height of the Cold War, Canada shipped huge amounts of grain to the Soviet Union every year to make up the shortfall of Russia's Incompetent agricultural sector. There was no blackmail ever but you can be sure that there would have been a lot of it if the situation were reversed. Russia is extremely poorly placed because you have to literally make a pact with the devil to trade with her and no one is going to go near Russia for a generation at least. "the west that is broke and bankrupt" You're drinking waaay too much vodka and listening to your "alternate reality media" too much Ivan. Truth is, Russia is a fourth class loser and has been for most of the last century. You're just not allowed to know that by your controllers.
1
@randalsaul6612 Umm. Noo, they are not. By the way, there is no such thing as "MSM" Try again, troll. Whoops! Sorry I lie! I Googled it and "MSM" is Methylsulfonylmethane
1
When Pierre and his handlers are looking for platform inspiration, they ask themselves: "What would DONALD do?"
1
There are a pile of fringe Albertans who want to separate so that they can have "open carry" and replace that nasty, old Canadian legal system with 'DRAW HOMBRE!"
1
@herringchoker01 They were revolutionary in 1917.
1
@spitfirenutspitfirenut4835 ... goes with that helicopter thingy back aft.
1
@5thelementcannabisproduction I'm a 67 year old CAF Veteran. Why don't you sign up and do something for someone other than yourself for once in your life, tough guy? Too stoned, eh? Too lazy? Too scared?
1
@rmf9567 The only reason that Canada has a weak military is YOU the Canadian taxpayer. You have failed to support your Forces for generations. The last Federal government that took Defence seriously was Louis St. Laurent's. If you care, make it an election issue. No party cares because there are no votes for Defence in Canada.
1
@jptrainor Yeah a "referendum" where they went door-to-door with armed soldiers looking you in the face as you voted. Did any Ukrainian speakers get to vote? Not bloody likely. Did any outside observes verify the legitimacy of the "vote"? Of course not. These are Russians, we're talking about. They have zero/zip/nada idea of how democracy works. Their "referendum" was a sham . They had a "result before they started. Don't make us laugh, Ivan.
1
@MetaView7 Have you read the Geneva Convention? No? Of course not.. You're with the Killer Apes.
1
@lotteleprovidance9584 Ooga-Booga to you, too.
1
@dra6o0n 'Visiting Americans" on the "Militia Tour" of Southern Alberta ...
1
Not in Canada. It means a lot more in Canada than it does in your country. Don't be fooled by the apparent "softness' of the word.
1
@RedTeamBlueTeam Japan is not in NATO but our relationship with the Pacific allies may be more important in the long run.
1
@RedTeamBlueTeam The Canadians are steaming with the Japanese (not NATO ) and the US (NATO) and that is why I made the comment. See that carrier? That's a Japanese carrier. The other destroyer (not the Chinese one) Is an Ardleigh Burke US Navy ship. That Canada is in NATO does not make this a NATO exercise. Do you even know what NATO is?
1
@RedTeamBlueTeam "Yeah, it’s not like we meet any other NATO commitments. " This was not a NATO commitment. I corrected you because there are throngs of trolls on here that add Australia, Japan, South Korea on here as NATO because ... well NATO is everywhere (even "SURROUNDING" Russia!)
1
Canada doesn't spend nearly 2% GDP on defence and is not likely to unless we are embroiled in another world war (a distinct possibility). Does that mean he'll encourage the Russians to attack Canada? How about attacking one of those oil export pipelines to the US?
1
@corycg9624 You need to listen to what he said. He will encourage Russia to attack anyone that he doesn't pay enough of their budgets to their militaries. The US has no "billing process" for NATO and it never has. Your ideas come directly from Vladimir Putin via his friend Trump.
1
@airdalejackson5907 They will be extremely useful in two month's time.
1
Sure he's back in Russia. He's back in Russia inside an urn on Putin's desk. Wagner? They're in shallow graves in the forest as per 125 years of Russian military tradition.
