Some of them are too crazy to seek the help that is available to them. It started back when we closed all of the mental hospitals in Canada for "humanitarian" reasons.

@CodeLife_12 I grew up in Montreal and it wasn't an issue there until the mental hospitals closed.

@ec6052 I'm 66 and it wasnt a pron[blem for the first 20 plus years of my life (and I lived in a big inner city for a time, back then}. Something changed and pretty suddenly and dramatically. I suggest that you re-examine the fundamentals and stop overcomplicating this by sorting through the minutiae.

@RachelTScott That all started in the late 60s/early 70s when the "hippy" culture came to Vancouver, bringing peace, love and heroin addicts. It didn't used to be like that ... not much anyway.
