Comments by "Abraham Dozer" (@abrahamdozer6273) on "Canada to send 4 combat-ready tanks to Ukraine" video.
We have little military hardware to spare but what Canada can do and has already done to great effect in this war is train up Ukrainian soldiers to modern NATO standards. Maybe we can only send 4 Leopards at this time but we could be training up Ukrainian soldiers in their operation tomorrow iat CFB Shilo. (The climate conditions there are even the same as in Ukraine!)

@robertbrown374 You tell me an instance in history where Canadians lost. Canada has never lost a war and has rarely lost a battle. You don't have a clue, do you?
2
@corybjarnason218 So, when did Canadians ever retreat? You need to learn your history.
2
@fallout_boy__9437 What do you expect to show for it? You figure it's some sort of investment scheme?
2
@corybjarnason218 Your "boy" is a 66 year old CF Veteran who finds this statement pertaining to Canadian tankers as offensive: "It's the same joke people make about French tanks only having two gears; reverse and reverse faster." Perhaps, your message was poorly conceived leading to miscomprehension. I will give you the benefit of the doubt.

@buddyguy4723 Yeah. Imagine. So what?

@City0fTroy The Canadian army has been training the Ukrainians since 2014 (about 35,000 of them). The British only just found out about it.

@Youtube music Not like the Russians did! [snicker]
1
@Youtube music Oh, yeh that "Soviet Union" here everyone spoke Russian, was controlled by Russians in Moscow. It's amazing how the cowardly Russians try to weasel out of their evil deeds.
1
@Youtube music The Soviet Union was the Russian empire and Putin's declared aim is to re-create it. Cowardly Russians trying to absolve themselves of their evil deeds ...
1
@Youtube music Of course they aren't The imprisoned parts of the Soviet Union were able to leave the Russians when it broke up but the Russians are re-invading those countries (like Ukraine) to re-build the Russian empire formerly renamed the "Soviet Union". It was 100% fully controlled by Russians in Russia. Maybe, you should read a book or something.

She's a hell of a lot better at it than most of her predecessors over the last few decades (No, I am not a Liberal but I am a Veteran who is quite impressed with her).

When you do that you relinquish your foreign policy control to another country. Grown-up countries defend themselves. Colonies let "Dad" do it for them.
1
@mattfoulgerBC It wasn't always this way. From 1939 to 1942, Canada was at war and the United States was not. There was no "hegemony " over Canadian forces back then. The Yanks were neutrals and Canada was in a total war fight.

@spacex2643 What kind of hallucinatory drugs are hey feeding you in your PLA blogging platoon today, Comrade Lieutenant?

@spacex2643 Every Chinese citizen that is allowed to view and post on this part of the Internet is affiliated (closely!) with the Party and the average citizen is not allowed, here. No WeChat for you, eh? By the way, Canada was not "owned" by the UK. You think like someone from a totalitarian slave culture that traditionally owns people. Canada became an independent Dominion in 1867 which makes it older than Germany, Italy and about a hundred more countries around the Earth (including the PRC). No one "owns" Canadians, although the PLA would dearly love to.
1
@spacex2643 Be careful you don't end up in a reeducation cm in the Gobi desert. The Chinese highschool mate of my son told him that the Chinese government was watching his whole family and he wasn't free to talk to him. That's half way around the World, not in China by the way. If you're ethnic Chinese, the PRC "owns" you.

@buddyguy4723 It's not the government's fault. It's the Canadian taxpayers fault. There are no votes in military spending in Canada so no party does it.... not any of them.

... especially our citizens. Canada's defences are inadequate because the Canadian public doesn't give a crap about them. It could easily be an election issue if only Canadians cared.
