If the United States wanted to be a modern nation with an educational system to match those of your counterpart countries and a public health care system that is up to Western standards, you'd have had them decades ago. It's your politics that prevents you from being a modern nation, not the weapons production that is a subsidy of your manufacturing industry in disguise

  3. The United States uses defence spending as a manufacturing subsidy and an economic stimulus. Replacing the ordinance that is being used in in Ukraine will be a major job creator in McCarthy's Red States.

  4.  @michaelinsc1644  American isolationism has been rearing it's ugly head again for some time now. The US needn't police the World but disengaging from it was a big factor to the start of WWII. Can you imagine where we'd be if Trump had got hs way and disbanded NATO? Latvia, Lithuania, Estonia would ave fallen already and the battle front would be running right down the middle of Poland (again).
